Passando a minha atenção pelo jornal "Público", acto rotineiro de há um tempo para cá, não pude deixar de reparar num determinado artigo de opinião assinado pelo jornalista Mussá Turé e que falava sobre o Islão e o terrorismo. Começou o dito jornalista por, talvez querendo provar um ponto que se revelou confuso com o decorrer das linhas, condenar o terrorismo pela brutalidade que o mesmo revela. Certo, certo. Palavras de circunstância, à falta de argumentos que possam refutar o óbvio. No entanto não tardou em destapar um pouco do seu, digamos, discurso equívoco. Disse o referido jornalista, e passo a citar, que "tanto os EUA como os seus aliados europeus andam tão ocupados em combater o terrorismo que nem se dão ao trabalho de procurar entender as suas causas.". E um pouco mais adiante reportou-se a um artigo de Miguel S.Tavares para criticar a sua conduta, arrojada mas directa a meu ver, por este afirmar aquilo que é do conhecimento geral, que todos os terroristas conhecidos são muçulmanos. Condena porque diz que este tipo de atitude serve apenas para hostilizar ainda mais os árabes e muçulmanos procurando em seguida fazer crer que o que M.S.T. realmente quer dizer é que todos os muçulmanos são terroristas. Nada mais incorrecto e incoerente. E mais adiante volta a afirmar a necessidade de entender as causas do terrorismo para melhor se poder lidar com este, garantindo-se dessa forma a estabilidade e paz que tanto se procura. Pessoalmente não sei o que quererá ele dizer com essa necessidade de entender as causas do terrorismo porque não há nada para entender nessas atitudes desumanas e bárbaras. Não é com extrema violência, sistemáticamente exercida sobre pessoas inocentes, que se prova um ponto ou uma hipotética causa. Acima de tudo, e lendo o artigo deste jornalista, pareceram-me as suas palavras como uma propaganda gratuita a algo que prefiro tentar não entender. Do início ao fim ele não fala noutra coisa senão em entender o terrorismo na vez de o tentar combater. E o mais grave, nota-se um certo discurso que só pode procurar justificar o terrorismo, senão atente-se às suas palavras que passo a citar. "De nada adianta fazer crer que a civilização ocidental, entenda-se cristã, é superior à árabe ou muçulmana. Enquanto persistir esse tipo de juízos, haverá sempre quem encontre, de um ou de outro lado, em actos terroristas ou segregacionistas, a razão de defesa da sua cultura". Ora, pode ser engano da minha humilde pessoa, mas eu não vejo, especialmente por essa europa fora, militantes cristãos exibindo cartazes acusando os não cristãos de heréges ou impuros. Senhor Turé, entenda de uma vez por todas, ninguém está a acusar todo o Islão, até porque há muitos quadrantes muçulmanos que se opõem ao terrorismo, acabando quase sempre por sofrer as consequências dessa oposição. E o que poderá haver de mais identificativo das intenções e/ou causas do terrorismo que essa procura incessante de impor uma forma de estar e pensar a todos os que não são por eles?
Creio que um jornalista deveria ser acima de tudo imparcial nas suas análises. É certo que a opinião é livre, pelo menos nesta parte do globo, mas não deve ser utilizada como meio de procurar promover determinadas situações que sob signo algum encontram justificação. E acredite que a intolerância promovida, não pelo corão, mas sim pelos seus guardiões (?), pelos supra-sumos da religião (que a qualquer momento podem distorcer os ensinamentos do corão com os seus propósitos mais obscuros) é real e tem gerado este sem número de situações que vão desde o rapto e cobarde assassinato de jornalistas e civis, que nada têm a ver com esta guerra, até casos como o de Ossétia do Norte. Antes de entender as causas do terrorismo há que olhar para os métodos dessa gente sem escrúpulos. Lá porque alguém se sente injustiçado numa determinada questão, com maior ou menor relevo, isso não significa, e muito menos lhe dá o direito a que se crêem assistir, que possam desatar a matar aleatória e indiscriminadamente pessoas que nada têm a ver com os seus problemas e que, muitas das vezes, até compreenderão e partilharão da dor que os possa consumir. Acima de tudo há que pôr a vida e dignidade humana sobre qualquer questão mais ou menos politizada.
